About the project
Alexander the Great (also known as Alexander III of Macedon) is one of the most famous rulers in history.
He was born, according to most historians, in the second half of 356 BC and died under uncertain circumstances (either from illness or poisoning) on 10 June 323 BC, at the age of 32.
At the time of his death, Alexander had conquered much of the known world. However, it is his death and burial that have most interested historians to this day.
There are several theories regarding the burial place of Alexander the Great. However, none of them has been confirmed, and to date neither his body nor his tomb has been discovered.
The purpose of this study is to locate the tomb of Alexander the Great.
